On October 4th, 2018, thousands of Marriott Hotel workers at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown, the Marriott Marquis, the Marriott Union Square, the Palace Hotel, the St. Regis, the W, and the Westin St. Francis walked off the job and went on strike.
Our Council has sanctioned this strike and stands in solidarity with our Local 2 siblings.
Donating here will directly benefit striking workers. All donations will be send directly to the San Francisco Bay Area Labor Foundation, under the supervision of the Executive Director, Rudy Gonzalez and Finance Director, Hang To.
Funds will assist striking workers who are experiencing financial hardship during the strike. Workers who need assistance paying their rent, buying groceries and otherwise proving basic needs for themselves and their families.
If you prefer to write a check, please make it out to SF Labor Council Community Services and send to the SF Labor Council at 1188 Franklin Street, Suite 203 San Francisco, CA 94109.
Time to make one job enough!
