Hang Le To was born in Vietnam in a small province called Can Tho in 1970. She came to the United States as a boat refugee in 1986 and settled in San Francisco, where she’s been ever since.
Hang earned a BS degree in Business Administration and Accounting in January 1996 from San Francisco State University. She has been working in finance for over 15 years. Hang has been the Finance Director for the San Francisco Labor Council since 2000.
Hang is the president of OPEIU Local 3. She has attended the Annual Western Region Women’s Summer Institute for the past three years to advance her labor leadership skills. Hang is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Labor Studies – Union Leadership Administration (ULA).
Hang lives with her husband and two children. She is actively involved in the Asian-Vietnamese-American Community and serves as the Executive Director of the Au Co Vietnamese Cultural Center.
