United Farm Worker March & Rally

Title: United Farm Worker March & Rally
Location: State Capitol, Sacramento
Start Time: 09:00
Date: 2022-08-26

Hundreds of farm workers are on a grueling 24-day, 335- mile “March for the Governor’s Signature” from Kern County to the state Capitol in Sacramento, urging Governor Gavin Newsom to sign AB 2183. California needs to reduce voter suppression, intimidation, and retaliation against workers exercising their rights. AB 2183 would provide more choices in how farm workers vote in union elections.

The march will culminate in a rally calling on the Governor to sign AB 2183 on August 26th at the Capitol in Sacramento. Please join us at the rally and show the Governor that the Labor movement and community organizations are in full support of farm workers.

On August 26th marchers will meet at Southside Park (8th and T St) at 9 AM and then march to Capitol at 10 AM. Please sign up for the march and rally HERE. On the form you will have the opportunity to let us know if you need transportation to Sacramento.
