Mobilization to Support Raising the Minimum Compensation Ordinance

Friday, October 12th, 2018

Title: Mobilization to Support Raising the Minimum Compensation Ordinance
Location: City Hall, Room 250
Link out: Click here
Description:
Join us to urge the SF Board of Supervisors to raise the Minimum Compensation Ordinance on October 23 at SF City Hall at 2 PM.

Decision Day is Oct. 23, the SF Supervisors will vote on approving or denying the raise. The increase in the ordinance will help raise wages for hundreds of low wage workers providing public services to seniors, children, people with disabilities and the homeless. Come express your views during public comment. Tell the SF Supervisors to support raising wages and explain how the high turnover at work is hurting the services we provide to the most vulnerable in the city. Many of us work multiple jobs to make ends meet. We believe: One Job Should Be Enough!

WHAT: Urge SF Board of Supervisors to Raise the Minimum Compensation Ordinance.
WHEN: Oct. 23, 2018
TIME & WHERE:
1:30 pm and 3:30 pm — Our plan is to show unity and pack the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Room 250, and keep the Supervisors’ chamber full through public comment which we don’t know what time it will start and end. Take half-day off if you can.

RSVP today by calling the Member Resource Center at 877-687-1021.
Start Time: 13:30
Date: 2018-10-23
