Title: Labor Educators’ Curriculum Exchange & Forum
Location: Pierre Coste Room, Statler Wing City College Ocean Campus, 50 Phelan Avenue
Description: A day focusing on the practices and practitioners of labor education, sponsored by the United Association for Labor Education (UALE) and the City College of San Francisco Labor and Community Studies Department.. All welcome.

The exchange will consist of brief presentations of examples of labor or social justice education content and teaching strategy by Bay Area educators.

Union, school, worker’s center, apprenticeship and community-based educators are invited to attend and participate.

Bring your role plays, hard questions, big plans, most successful or difficult teaching challenges. Come and present, report, share or just watch and learn.

Agenda

8:30 – 9:00. Welcome, introductions. Coffee and tea available.

9:00 – 11:30 – First Curriculum Exchange session.

11:30 – 12:30. Lunch, opportunities to talk with presenters.

12:30 – 1:00 Planning and organizational matters.

1:0 – 2:30 Second Curriculum Exchange Session.

2:30 – 4:30 Forum. Reports and presentations about labor ed programs by labor educators at colleges, universities, unions, workers’ centers and community-based organizations.
